Kingswood Christian Preschool

Since its formation in 1976, Kingswood Christian Preschool has served families in the community as a ministry of Kingswood Methodist Church. Our mission is to nurture hearts for God and minds for learning.

We provide a loving environment and welcoming atmosphere to the children entrusted to our care. Christian-based activities are integrated into our academic program, and we include regular chapel time to share and teach the love of Christ to our children.

 

To prepare children for a successful transition to elementary school, we utilize Creative Curriculum, a North Carolina-approved early childhood curriculum that is aligned with the curriculum currently used in elementary schools in North Carolina and across the United States.

We incorporate a variety of developmentally appropriate activities for each age group, including art, story time, music, free play in centers, snack time and outdoor play. Our Pre-K Readiness program is very structured and includes number and letter recognition, telling time and sight words.

We offer classes for children ages two through five. Classes are available two, three or five days a week. School hours are 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon for all classes.

Lunch Bunch is offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays for three- to five-year-olds (must be potty trained), from 12:00 to 1:00. Children bring their own lunch and beverage. The fee for Lunch Bunch is $6 a day. 

​

Our staff is caring, enthusiastic and experienced in working with young children. We are available for conferences and visits and invite family members to volunteer for special events.

A monthly newsletter and updates will come home with your child to keep you informed about our activities and plans for the month. We also provide convenient access to information about Kingswood Church.
